The Yakovlev Yak-1B was an improved version of one of the most important Soviet fighters of World War II. This 1:72 scale kit from Arma Hobby is a modern tooling with a high level of detail, allowing for an accurate representation of the aircraft. The kit includes masks, Cartograf decals, and optional 3D-printable parts to enhance the level of detail.

About the Yak-1B:

The Yak-1B was an improved version of the Yak-1 fighter introduced in 1942. It featured a lowered rear fuselage and a new bubble canopy, significantly improving pilot visibility. The armament was modified, replacing two ShKAS machine guns with a single heavy UBS machine gun, while retaining the ShVAK cannon. Yak-1B aircraft saw combat at Stalingrad and Kursk, where they proved comparable to enemy fighters.
