Eduard XT226 is a set of self-adhesive 1:35 masks to make painting the model easier, tailored to the Brummbär model from Academy. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The kit is not included.

Painting masks for the model – faster, more accurate painting

This set contains self-adhesive masks shaped to the model, making it easier to paint selected areas – depending on the set these may be the road wheels, glazing or other details. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp, even edges without hand masking with tape.

The masks are applied to the model before spraying and removed once the paint has dried. The set speeds up painting and improves its precision.

About the vehicle – Sturmpanzer IV Brummbär (assault gun):

The Sturmpanzer IV, known as the Brummbär, was a German heavy assault gun developed in 1943 on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank. A short-barrelled 150 mm StuH 43 howitzer was mounted in a massive, heavily armoured superstructure, intended to destroy fortifications, buildings and strongpoints in urban fighting. The heavy high-explosive shell delivered great destructive power, while the thick frontal armour protected the vehicle from anti-tank fire at close range.

The Brummbär debuted at Kursk in 1943 and then served on the Eastern Front, in Italy and in the west. The heavy superstructure overloaded the front suspension and worsened mobility, while the gun's limited traverse forced aiming with the whole hull. The vehicles were built in several series, introducing changes to the superstructure and adding, among other things, a bow machine gun. About 300 examples were produced in total.
