The Bell P-39 Airacobra was an American fighter aircraft known for its unconventional design, with the engine placed behind the pilot and a cannon firing through the propeller hub. The P-39Q variant was one of the later versions, featuring additional armament. While it was less effective at high altitudes, it performed well at low and medium levels. The aircraft served with the USAAF and was also widely used by the Soviet Union under the Lend-Lease program.
