Chinese Z-10G Attack Helicopter – 1:48 scale plastic model by Trumpeter

The Trumpeter 05849 kit represents the Z-10G, an upgraded version of China’s Z-10 attack helicopter designed by Changhe Aircraft Industries and the China Helicopter Research and Development Institute. The Z-10G is the latest generation of China’s dedicated attack helicopters, combining heavy firepower, agility and advanced electronic warfare capabilities to support modern battlefield operations.

About the kit:

This detailed kit includes a fully replicated cockpit for both pilot and gunner, a detailed engine section, sensor arrays, and the distinctive armored cockpit canopy. The model also features external pylons carrying HJ-10 anti-tank guided missiles, rocket pods and a chin-mounted 23 mm cannon. Clear parts for canopy glazing and decals for PLAAF markings are included. Precision molding and detailed instructions make it a challenging but rewarding build for experienced modelers.

The Z-10G (WZ-10G) is a modernized attack helicopter serving with the People’s Liberation Army Air Force and Army Aviation. Equipped with new WZ-9G engines, advanced radar warning receivers and countermeasure systems, it represents a significant improvement in performance and survivability over earlier Z-10 versions. The helicopter is armed with a 23 mm cannon, HJ-10 anti-tank missiles with an 8 km range, and rocket pods for ground support missions. Its tandem two-seat layout and modular armor provide excellent visibility and protection for both crew members.
