The IBG MRM A720001 kit represents the very first prototype of the legendary Supermarine Spitfire – the Type 300 with serial K5054, depicted in its first flight configuration. The model is entirely made from resin parts produced using 3D printing technology, allowing for exceptional detail.

About the Supermarine Type 300:

The Supermarine Type 300 was the prototype of one of the most famous fighters of World War II – the Spitfire. Aircraft K5054 made its first flight on March 5, 1936, piloted by Captain Joseph “Mutt” Summers.

The aircraft featured a modern design with its iconic elliptical wings and excellent performance, which laid the foundation for the Spitfire’s future success in the Royal Air Force. The prototype marked the beginning of one of the most recognizable aircraft in aviation history.
