The Revell 03363 kit represents the German Flakpanzer IV “Möbelwagen” self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicle in 1:72 scale. The vehicle was developed to provide mobile air defence for German armored units during the later stages of World War II.

The design was based on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank. Its main armament was the 3.7 cm Flak 43 anti-aircraft gun mounted on a fighting platform surrounded by four foldable armored panels. During transport the panels were raised, while in combat they were lowered to allow the gun crew to operate the weapon effectively.

Model assembly

About the Flakpanzer IV Möbelwagen

The Flakpanzer IV “Möbelwagen” was one of the first German self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicles developed on the chassis of the Panzer IV tank. It entered service in 1944 as a temporary solution designed to provide mobile air defence for German armored formations.

The vehicle was armed with a 3.7 cm Flak 43 anti-aircraft gun capable of engaging low-flying aircraft. Four large armored side panels protected the crew during movement and were lowered during combat to allow the gun crew to operate the weapon effectively.
