PKP 102Aa “Ryflak” passenger coach model – 1st class, Warsaw Szczęśliwice depot

A highly detailed model of the Polish State Railways (PKP) 102Aa passenger coach, part of the well-known “Ryflak” series. This version represents a 1st class car assigned to the Warsaw Szczęśliwice depot, following its 1975 overhaul. The model precisely reproduces the ribbed steel body typical for these coaches, along with accurate markings and livery of the late 1970s (Epoch IVb).

The 102Aa type was a development of the earlier 101Aa coach, incorporating improved interior layout and upgraded technical systems. Built by PaFaWag in Wrocław from the early 1970s, these cars were equipped with ribbed metal sides, nine first-class compartments, and both steam and electric heating. Painted in olive-green PKP livery, they were used mainly on long-distance and interregional routes across Poland.
