This H0 scale model from the PIKO Expert series represents the EU07 electric locomotive in the Era V livery of PKP – Polish State Railways. This analog version features directional LED lighting and a decoder interface (NEM 658 – PluX22), making it ready for digital upgrade. The model is fully assembled and ready to run, with a length of 183 mm.

Analog or digital control – what to choose?

This analog model is ready to run on classic layouts, but it can be easily upgraded for digital operation thanks to the PluX22 interface. Digital control offers independent operation of multiple locomotives on the same track and enables full use of lighting and sound functions, providing a much more realistic experience than analog control.

About the EU07 locomotive:

The EU07 is one of the most iconic electric locomotives in the history of Polish railways. Based on British design, it was manufactured in Poland from the 1960s onward and served as the backbone of passenger and freight rail transport on electrified lines for decades.

During Era V, EU07 locomotives were widely used for a variety of services – from regional to InterCity express trains. Their reliability, simplicity, and versatility kept them in service for many years, with some units still in operation today. This PIKO model accurately captures the appearance of a typical EU07 from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
