This 1:72 scale model from Special Hobby depicts the French SMB-2 Super Mystère fighter – the first supersonic combat aircraft to enter service with the French Air Force. Developed in the late 1950s, it was part of NATO’s Cold War airpower.

About the SMB-2 Super Mystère:

The SMB-2 Super Mystère was a further development of earlier Dassault designs like the Mystère IV. It became the first French jet capable of breaking the sound barrier in level flight. Entering French Air Force service in 1958, it was later exported to Israel as well. The Super Mystère featured twin 30 mm cannons, advanced avionics for its time, and a wide range of external weaponry.
