The Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa was one of the primary fighters of the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. The Ki-43-III version represented a further development with a more powerful engine and improved performance. Its lightweight construction and exceptional maneuverability made it a formidable opponent in dogfights. About the Nakajima Ki-43 Hayabusa:

The Ki-43 Hayabusa entered service in the early 1940s and became one of the most widely used fighters of the Imperial Japanese Army. Allied forces assigned it the reporting name “Oscar.” The aircraft was valued for its excellent maneuverability and good low- to medium-altitude performance, although it had lighter armament and protection compared to many Allied fighters. The Ki-43-III was among the final and most refined versions of this fighter series.
