Model of the Chinese PLA Type 100 support vehicle in 1:35 scale – snap-fit with pre-coloured parts

Border BN003 represents the Chinese PLA Type 100 tracked support vehicle, shown publicly during the military parade in Beijing in September 2025. The vehicle was designed as a heavily digitised platform working with the new-generation Type 100 tank, increasing situational awareness and data exchange within an armoured formation.

The model is made as a snap-fit kit – the parts are pre-coloured and can be assembled without glue and without painting, which makes the set approachable also for beginners. A drone is included, and the tracks are assembled from individual links.

Assembly:

Thanks to the snap-fit technology and pre-coloured parts, the model can be assembled quickly and conveniently, without glue or painting – a good choice for those taking their first steps in modelling or looking for a quick build. The individual-link tracks are assembled link by link, allowing their natural sag to be reproduced.

More advanced modellers can of course additionally glue selected joints, paint the model and apply a wash for a more realistic result – this is, however, optional. Finishing suggestions are given in the manufacturer's instructions.

About the vehicle – PLA Type 100 (support vehicle):

The Type 100 is a Chinese tracked support vehicle first shown publicly during the military parade in Beijing on 3 September 2025. It was created as part of a new generation of armoured weaponry and is intended to operate together with the Type 100 main battle tank, forming a grouping with strongly developed reconnaissance and network-centric capabilities.

The vehicle has an unmanned turret with an autocannon adapted to fire at high elevation angles, pointing to a capability against low-flying targets, including unmanned aerial vehicles. It is supplemented by a coaxial machine gun and an extensive sensor suite. It is powered by a high-output hybrid drive.

Many of the vehicle's technical details remain classified, and published figures are preliminary. The Type 100 is regarded as an important step towards a digitally integrated battlefield.
