Eduard XT204 is a set of self-adhesive 1:35 masks to make painting the model easier, tailored to the Pick Up (Toyota Hilux) model from Meng. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The kit is not included.

Painting masks for the model – faster, more accurate painting

This set contains self-adhesive masks shaped to the model, making it easier to paint selected areas – depending on the set these may be the road wheels, glazing or other details. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp, even edges without hand masking with tape.

The masks are applied to the model before spraying and removed once the paint has dried. The set speeds up painting and improves its precision.

About the vehicle – Toyota Hilux Pick Up (technical):

The Toyota Hilux is a civilian pickup produced since 1968, valued for its simplicity, reliability and off-road capability. Across many conflicts in the Middle East, Africa and Asia these trucks were converted into so-called technicals by mounting machine guns, anti-aircraft cannon or rocket launchers on the cargo bed. Low cost and ease of repair made them a primary means of transport and combat for irregular and guerrilla forces.

They gained notoriety during the 1980s Libyan-Chadian War, dubbed the Toyota War. Later, Hilux technicals were used in Somalia, Iraq, Syria and Yemen. Armament was chosen as needed, ranging from DShK and ZU-23-2 guns to recoilless rifles. The model depicts the popular double-cab pickup variant frequently seen in modern asymmetric conflict zones.
