Eduard XT167 is a set of self-adhesive 1:35 masks for masking the rubber tyres of the road wheels during painting, tailored to the M-7 Priest Mid production model from Dragon. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The kit is not included.

Road wheel masks – even edges on the rubber tyres

This set contains self-adhesive masks shaped to the model road wheels, letting you paint the rubber tyres separately from the hubs. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving a sharp, even boundary between the metal hub and the rubber without freehand painting.

The masks are applied to the wheels, the tyre or hub colour is airbrushed, and the masks are removed once dry. The set greatly speeds up one of the more tedious steps in painting a vehicle.

About the vehicle – M7 Priest (105 mm Howitzer Motor Carriage M7):

The M7 Priest was an American self-propelled howitzer developed in 1942 on the M3 Lee chassis, and on the M4 Sherman in later batches. It carried a 105 mm M2 howitzer in an open fighting compartment, plus a 12.7 mm anti-aircraft machine gun in a distinctive ring mount. The British named it Priest because the machine-gun position resembled a pulpit.

The vehicle gave armoured artillery mobile fire support able to keep pace with tank units. The M7 fought in North Africa, Italy, Western Europe and the Pacific, and later in Korea. More than 4,000 were built in the M7 and M7B1/M7B2 versions. The design combined the firepower of a field howitzer with mobility and partial crew protection.
