Eduard XT222 is a set of self-adhesive 1:35 masks to make painting the model easier, tailored to the Panther Ausf.G model from Rye Field Model. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The kit is not included.

Painting masks for the model – faster, more accurate painting

This set contains self-adhesive masks shaped to the model, making it easier to paint selected areas – depending on the set these may be the road wheels, glazing or other details. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp, even edges without hand masking with tape.

The masks are applied to the model before spraying and removed once the paint has dried. The set speeds up painting and improves its precision.

About the vehicle – PzKpfw V Panther Ausf.G:

The Panther (Panzerkampfwagen V) was a German medium tank developed as a response to the Soviet T-34 and introduced in 1943. It combined steeply sloped frontal armour with the long-barrelled 75 mm KwK 42 L/70 high-velocity gun of great penetration. The Ausf. G version, produced from 1944, simplified the hull design and standardised the sides, improving manufacture. The suspension used torsion bars and interleaved double road wheels.

The Panther Ausf. G fought mainly on the Eastern Front and in Normandy and the Ardennes. Its gun effectively defeated Allied and Soviet tanks at long range, and its frontal protection was high, although the sides remained vulnerable. The design suffered from reliability problems in the drivetrain and transmission, especially in early examples. About 6,000 Panthers of all versions were built, making it one of the principal German tanks of the late war.
