Eduard XT160 is a set of self-adhesive 1:35 masks for masking the rubber tyres of the road wheels during painting, tailored to the M-26 Dragon Wagon model from Hobby Boss. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The kit is not included.

Road wheel masks – even edges on the rubber tyres

This set contains self-adhesive masks shaped to the model road wheels, letting you paint the rubber tyres separately from the hubs. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving a sharp, even boundary between the metal hub and the rubber without freehand painting.

The masks are applied to the wheels, the tyre or hub colour is airbrushed, and the masks are removed once dry. The set greatly speeds up one of the more tedious steps in painting a vehicle.

About the vehicle – M26 Dragon Wagon (heavy tank transporter tractor):

The M26 Dragon Wagon was an American heavy tank transport and recovery combination, made up of the armoured 6x6 M26 tractor and the M15 low-loader trailer. The enclosed armoured cab protected the crew and winches during recovery of damaged vehicles under fire. Drive came from a six-cylinder Hall-Scott engine of about 240 hp, powering all axles of the tractor.

The vehicle carried medium tanks over long distances without wearing out their own running gear and dragged wrecks off the battlefield. A simplified, unarmoured M26A1 version was also built. The combination was used in Western Europe and other theatres from 1943, and after the war served for years as the standard American tank transporter of its class.
