Eduard XT170 is a set of self-adhesive 1:35 masks to make painting the model easier, tailored to the Flakpanzer 38(t) Ausf.M late model from Dragon. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp edges without hand masking with tape. The kit is not included.

Painting masks for the model – faster, more accurate painting

This set contains self-adhesive masks shaped to the model, making it easier to paint selected areas – depending on the set these may be the road wheels, glazing or other details. The masks are die-cut from yellow Kabuki masking paper, giving sharp, even edges without hand masking with tape.

The masks are applied to the model before spraying and removed once the paint has dried. The set speeds up painting and improves its precision.

About the vehicle – Flakpanzer 38(t) Ausf.M (German self-propelled anti-aircraft gun):

The Flakpanzer 38(t) was a German self-propelled anti-aircraft gun built on the chassis of the Panzer 38(t) light tank in the Ausf.M variant with a revised drivetrain. An open-topped rotating superstructure with folding sides housed a 2 cm FlaK 38 automatic gun, providing air defence for armoured units. The vehicle was created as an interim solution while heavier anti-aircraft designs on the Panzer IV chassis were awaited.

Production was carried out by BMM in Prague over the winter of 1943-1944, delivering about 140 vehicles. They were issued to the anti-aircraft platoons of the headquarters companies of tank battalions on the Western and Eastern Fronts. The single 20 mm gun soon proved insufficient against the growing Allied air power, so the design was replaced by the heavier Wirbelwind and Ostwind Flakpanzers on the Panzer IV chassis.
